Web apps built to fit, when WordPress runs out of room.
Client portals, internal dashboards or AI tools: I build lean web apps with React, Next.js and Supabase. Quick to launch, secure, with data in Switzerland.
Typical projects
- Client portals: your clients see quotes, documents or project status after they log in
- Internal dashboards: data from Excel, a CRM or accounting in one clear place
- Booking and enquiry systems with their own admin area
- AI tools: summarise text, read documents or translate with context (OpenAI API)
- MVPs for startups: a testable first version in a few weeks
Technology that can grow
- Next.js and React for fast interfaces that search engines can read
- Supabase (PostgreSQL) with login, roles and row-level security, with Zurich as the data region if you want it
- Cloudflare for hosting close to users: fast, inexpensive and well protected
- TypeScript throughout, so the code stays maintainable
I work with Cursor AI directly in the code. That speeds the build up considerably. Architecture, security and code review stay careful manual work.
Process
- Workshop (1–2 hours): clarify the goal, the users and the core features
- Fixed-price quote with a clearly bounded scope
- Build in stages, with a demo at each step
- Launch and handover, including documentation
WordPress or a web app?
For content, a blog and marketing, WordPress is usually the better and cheaper choice. A web app pays off once people log in, edit data or workflows should run on their own. Often the best setup is both: a marketing site in WordPress and a client area as a web app.
FAQ
What does a custom web app cost?
An MVP with login, roles and the essential features starts at CHF 3,900. You get the exact fixed price after a short workshop, once the scope is clear.
How long does development take?
An MVP is usually ready in three to eight weeks, depending on the scope and how quickly feedback comes back.
Where is the data stored?
In a data centre in Zurich if you want that (Supabase, region eu-central-2). Personal data then stays in Switzerland.
Do I own the source code?
Yes. After the final invoice the code is yours. You get access to the repository and documentation.
Prefer to test it on a real ticket?
Send me a small task. The first one, up to 30 minutes, is free. After that, CHF 45 per hour or a fixed price.
